So, weighing at least a fist less than I did on Tuesday, I am home – thyroid-less!    (The surgeon said my thyroid which is usually thumb sized was as big as his fist)  I “got” to stay an extra night because my calcium level was not stabalizing -who knew that was important?  The pain is actually alot less than I expected and the scar will blend in nicely with the age appropriate neck wrinkles.  But I have a neck – thin and svelte, oh, la, la!   I got the pathology report today and all is benign, as expected – Praise Jesus, my Ultimate Healer!!  I am indeed blessed!  I started on my thyroid replacement meds today and even the pharmacist assured my dad (they are like buddies now) that I will be a whole new person in the next month.  I just hope this new gal can glorify Jesus in new and more ways to come…
